This is a scene that I worked on with two friends(Jay Hwang and Serozh Sarkisyan). This scene was done for the Game-Artist.net Scene from a Movie challenge. We thought that the fantasy pirate style was a good way to go so we decided to recreate a scene from the movie Hook. This scene was modeled in 3DS Max and ZBrush, textured in Photoshop, and rendered in Unreal Editor 3.0. The things that I did for this scene was helping with asset production, material creation, and level populating. We had a max triangle limit of 200,000 for the competition so we had to make sure that we stayed under it. We modeled all of our assets using sub-d modeling/ZBrush sculpting and then baked the normals onto our low poly meshes. This scene is roughly 180,000 triangles as it stands. We also baked out lightmaps in the editor. We spent about a month or so working on this project.
